Mathematics
The Mathematics Curriculum, launched in 2014, has meant a rejigging of some expectations and content. However, there remain three clear aims, that we wish children to achieve:
- to be able to solve problems
- to be able to reason mathematically
- to become fluent in the fundementals of mathematics
The Mathematics curriculum will organised along four different themes and the children will work progressively through these.
- Number Sense
- Additive Reasoning
- Multiplicative Reasoning
- Geometric Reasoning
See below for an overview of the year-group expectations across these four themes.
